My name is Bilal I’m a thirty something, living in the Federal Capital City of Pakistan, Islamabad; I’m deeply fascinated by the stories of the successful people from all across the world. My main areas of interest are psychology, philosophy, self-growth, history, teaching English language, and study of world religion.

I really love sports and I also love to watch sitcoms especially from 80's. I love to listen soft music. Study of the world religions is my favorite subject. I’ve moved through a whole range of groups and broadly speaking, I’ve come to realize that I dislike narrow-mindedness.


Education & Career


By trade, I’m a teacher, tutor and student support worker. I have a deep and passionate interest in education. Learning is a fundamental part of human nature and a basic human right.


I believe passionately in the practical application of religion. That is, I have come to realize the need to apply what little I have learned to the benefit of others.

I am fascinated by other religious traditions, and am very interested in and committed to, inter-faith dialogue.


Poetry

I am also an amateur poet, though I leave others to decide the merits of my work themselves.


Well, that’s quite enough about me. In closing, let me offer this beautiful prayer of the Mevlevi Order, entitled The Rose Prayer:

May our humble plea be accepted in the Court of Honor; May the Most Glorious God purify and fill our hearts with the Light of His Greatest Name. May the hearts of the lovers be opened. By the breath of our master Mevlana, by the secret of Shams and Weled, by the holy light of Muhammad, by the generosity of Imam Ali, and the intercession of Muhammad, the unlettered prophet, mercy to all the worlds.
